Thanks to over 100 suppporters of our crowdfunding campaign, we could record our first CD!
On October 26, 27 and 28 we finally made the recording in Bernard Haitinkzaal of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, as planned.
It has been three very intense days (09:00-18:00) for both of us, as well as for our recording engineer Frerik de Jong.
Every piece was recorded at least 3 times in sections. We estimate that we made around 300 takes!
On Saturday, Sam David Wamper, the composer of our commissioned piece ‘Portrait of Lilith’, was present and helped us with his feedback.
It was a demanding process, not without surprises (2 piano strings broke during these 3 days), but in the end we feel that we have achieved a very good result.
It is now the job of Frerik to assemble all the good takes with his amazing skills into the final form.
We got the fantastic news that we are one of the 8 selected ensembles to perform at the Birmingham International Piano Chamber Music Festival/Competition in November!
“The first Birmingham International Piano Chamber Music Competition takes place as part as part of the Piano Chamber Music Festival at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
Eight young ensembles will be selected to be part of the festival programme, where each will give a public recital and take part in masterclasses with leading artists. Three ensembles will progress to the final concert in what promises to be an exciting finish to the festival.”

The young, dutch composer Sam David Wamper will compose a new piece for us that will be part of our new program “Lilith & Lulu”.
Sam has made commissions for important organizations such as the “Orlando Competition”. One of his last pieces has been performed numerous times world-wide.
We are very happy to have won him for this project!
Our recent project “Lilith & Lulu” will have its premier at this year’s edition of the prestigious Grachtenfestival in the centre of Amsterdam this August.
More information soon!
We are happy to announce that with our Project “Lilith & Lulu” we have won the “Orkaanprijs” at the Grachtenfestivalweekend 2018.
This will enable us to work further on the theatrical aspect of our project with great professionals. The result will be first presented at the “Grachtenfestival 2018” in August. More to that soon!
