About Andreas

Andreas studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in the class of Arno Bornkamp, where he also received his bachelor’s degree „cum laude“. Additionally, Andreas had the possibility to study with Claude Delangle at the CNSM de Paris with the Erasmus Programme. He has received tutorship from Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Sven Arne Tepl and Walter van Hauwe.

He is prize-winner of the International AEOLUS-Competition 2015 in Düsseldorf, the Andorra International Saxophone Competition 2016 and won the 1st prize at the Bertold Hummel-Competition in Würzburg in 2017.

As a soloist he has performed with the Düsseldorfer Sinfoniker, the Kracow Philharmonic Orchestra, the Kammerphilharmonie Graubünden and the Philharmonie Südwestfalen.

Andreas grew up in Jochberg, Tyrol and started his saxophone lessons at the music school of Kitzbühel. Later he attended the preliminary study at the Conservatory Tyrol. At the same time, he collected his first experiences as a Soloist with the chamber orchestra “Innstrumenti” and the Ensemble “Windkraft, Kapelle für neue Musik”.
